Yes, well. I never tried to pretend I wasn't white. Very, very white.

Boney Kapoor's "Wanted"

When I walked out of the theatre after watching that Angelina Jolie movie "Wanted", if someone came up to me and bet a me a million dollars that that would be the worst movie called "Wanted" that I see in the next five years, I would have obviously agreed to the bet. And if so, I'd be really screwed right now, cause I don't have a million dollars that I'd have to give to that incredibly prescient person.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Zombieland. It's a great movie --- not just a great zombie movie (a genre which I don't really care about one way or the other) but a really entertaining, well-written/acted/shot story that knows its audience well. It's a lot of fun.

I saw The Invention of Lying yesterday. It was cute, although probably not as cute as ^ movie. Can't say, haven't seen it. There were few things that annoyed me however, mostly having to do with the dialogue. The characters were too rational. It was as if they were following the scientific method before making any decision. There was no attempt to mask that either because not being able to lie in this movie means saying everything on your mind. I suppose any movie tackling this subject is bound to have some snags. Good comedy fun anyway, on par with Gervais' other works.

I also watched Wall-E recently. <3<3<3

My next movie will be In the Loop. I can't wait. :D

hollywood producer plans biopic of prophet muhammad

Quote:
Budgeted at around $150m (£91.5m), the film will chart Muhammad's life and examine his teachings. Osborne told Reuters that he envisages it as "an international epic production aimed at bridging cultures. The film will educate people about the true meaning of Islam".

Osborne's production will reportedly feature English-speaking Muslim actors. It is backed by the Qatar-based production company Alnoor Holdings, who have installed the Muslim scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi to oversee all aspects of the shoot. In accordance with Islamic law, the prophet will not actually be depicted on screen.

..what?

this was already pulled off in an animated film made a few years ago. basically everything was done with other characters reactions and i think very vague shadows were permitted also.

which would also make this project another remake.

I wonder if they could get away with the camera view being from Muhammad's point of view? Or if that would be considered even more blasphemous?
